The Meaner Weiner. Never actually ate there yet as I am intimidated by the prices. $4.85 for an all beef hot dog. You can get a jumbo chili cheese dog at portillos for $3.85. And I KNOW that will be delicious.
Mean = Average?. Hey, don’t get me wrong. The Mean Wiener serves pretty good dogs and burgers and specials. They earn props for using fresh-baked, custom buns and friendly staff. However, the last couple of times we’ve been there things have just been a little off. They’ve forgotten to bring one of the 4 sandwiches we ordered, or another time a burger we ordered was pretty much raw…. I’m sure we’ll give them another shot (since most of the kids on the soccer team like going there) but my heart still belongs to Stash’s in Highland Park.
I like my hot dogs burnt, but these were way too burnt! They were too expensive. It would have been worth the money if it woul have been better. Fries were not that good! We won’t be going back. Oh their chili tasted funny too!
