First, I was blown away by the interior, this restaurant is in a strip mall, but once you walk through the carved wooden double doors, you enter a whole new world! Elegant without being a bit pretentious. I could be comfortable in the dress jeans I’m wearing or a suit and tie.The food is fantastic! Bread made in-house, desserts made in-house, several specials to chose from, this is not everyday Italian, rather authentic, creative dishes. This was truly a full dining experience, it’s a bit of a drive for us, 15-20 minutes from Naperville in Joliet, but it’s worth the drive! They would to well in the City.
Asparagus and Procuitto. Delicate, warm, soft spears aged in vinegar and white wine wrapped in fine chilled prosciutto atop romaine lettuce. Served with a side of rich and creamy garlic aoli.
This place is horrible. Do not go here!
Fabulous restaurant!. We came to visit my parents and went to Barolo’s because it was close. We do a good deal of fine dining downtown Chicago and our meal at Barolo’s was easily on a par with anything we have had downtown at a fair price. Great food and great service. Very kind people.
We stopped in Joliet for the night on our way to St. Louis. We met chef Guy which was the start of an excellent dinner! Our server as great and the food – it was fresh and fabulous! It was a very authentic Italian meal – topped off with a beautiful dessert on mint chocolate cheesecake.
If I can’t make it to Viaggio’s in the city.. I come here since so close to home. My second fave place for Italian. Impeccable and classy is your atmosphere and food.
Hands down this place wil become a favorite of yours too. Great food, great service, good wine. Big Eater loves Barolo
