Big reputation considering its a hot dog place. But its simple and tasty. Especially if you dont want the typical American meal and you just want something to get you by. They also do sides like onion rings (which were nice) plus the standard burgers and that. They serve alcohol so no getting away from a lunch time beer. In the summer theres queues out the door. In Winter you dont wait more than 10 minutes. This place is also good as its one of the few places you dont have to tip. You line up. Order and pay. Then your number is called. Grab a table. So fast food (and they are quick). Been a few times and will be back again for sure.
This place is awesome! It’s right by my brother’s place and we tend to get takeout from here whenever my parents are in town. Very well priced, and they put queso chihuahua on a bunch of their items, which is always welcomed. I’m a big fan of their guacamole, enchiladas, and gringas (that doesn’t mean what you…yeah, if you thought that it’s on you really). The service is always great, and fast. We tend to walk-in and place our order so we can drink margaritas while we wait. They’re quite big, and that’s always a good thing.Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area by comparison to some of the other local offerings.
This place is AWESOME! I was looking for a brunch spot to take my mom (the toughest food critic I know) for her birthday and Cafe El Tapatio was the perfect choice. I had scrambled eggs with cactus because I wanted to try something new and it was delicious. Also had the tilapia ceviche appetizer… amazing. Even my mom was blown away by the authenticity and quality of everything we had. If it wasn’t so hot I would have loved to enjoy their super cute patio. Maybe next time, because I will definitely be going back soon.

Best Mexican food ever!!!. My husband is from Texas and I lived there for more than 10yrs.We missed the great food on TexasUNTIL we ate here!!!!! It is the BEST!!!If you love Mexican food , you will love eating here..can’t beat the great food and amazing service! !!
