Portillos is great, the ribs are the best in my opinion, but the signature hot dog is also great, the place is clean and the prices are affordable. The only thing I wasn’t so happy with is that you get to pick some food and beverages of the order on one side and other food on another side.
There are plenty Irish bar around the city and you get bore going there to enjoy a good beer and hear same musical vibes. Duke of Perth is a great Scottish bar. I loved their beer and whiskey selection. They have a small patio in the back yard it’s a nice. Their speciality is Fish&Chip. Beer battered fried cod served with peas and chip. Totally in love with it. Good job guys. Keep it up

The only true Scottish Pub in the midwest. OK there is an Irish bar pretty much on every corner in Chicago. This is the only Scottish pub around.I am a big fan of the steak and kidney pie.It is really nice to see a bit of tradition in the states.Excellent single malt selection.Service is always great, truly a Chicago landmark.
Not sure why the Duke is listed pn here as being ‘closed’ but it absolutely is still open. I just called a moment ago, today is 5/11/2009, and Mike (the bartender, answered. Again, they are open. This also happens to be an awesome pub with great food, excellent beers, and one of the better Scotch selections in Chicago. Plus, their fish & chips is to die for!
