The place is SMALL, but has its charm of a fishy seaside diner in the middle of Chicago. I will admit if you’re going with a group it could potentially not work out very well unless its warm out and you want to wait to sit outside. Great place to meet a friend to catch up or a little date night:)We had to wait a few minutes so we were told to go to the center of the two outlying bars to get a drink if we wanted. All of their beverages are served in mason jars to give you that diner-y feel and they have some interesting cocktail concoctions and beers on tap to shake things up.When we did dig in we enjoyed a blackboard special of tuna tartar that was very good to share. We also couldn’t help wanting to try more than one thing and shared the lobster roll, the satchmo po’boy and we were really hungry so we got the garlic bread as well. The satchmo was the perfect blend of crispy, flavor and crustaceans! My favorite thing that I had:) We were all set to go when we spied that they did indeed have desserts. The girls that were next to us at the bar were toasting the ‘mallows and we had to get in on that action. So yes, we toasted marshmallows and enjoyed our own version of indoor ‘smores. Will be back for the satchmo again and to try the crabby patty next time:) northandred.com

This place has really delicious food. The Satchmo Po’Boy is my favorite item on the menu. It’s fried crawfish and shrimp on a bun with pickles and garlic aioli. The frog legs are also delicious and of course you should order oysters whenever you get a chance. The only downside to this place is its size, so there is sometimes a wait for seating but the food absolutely makes up for that. I’ve actually recreated a few of there dishes at home. So yummy!

This is a perfect restaurant for ordering multiple small plates and sharing. Most, but not all, items come in smallish portions. The food is uniformly delicious. The atmosphere can be quite boisterous. Dine outside in good weather.

I can’t say better things about Fish Bar. Extremely fresh seafood offerings with a really unique twist on the boring norm you will find most anywhere else. Expect impeccable service too. One meal and you feel like you have new best friends! Don’t pass up the opportunity to try this gem if you are in the Chicago Lincoln Park area.

This is a great little spot for lunch. The food is fresh and delicious and the beer and drink selection is very unique. I enjoyed the gumbo and the po-boys were made with wonderful bread. I would definitely go back. The s’mores looked good, but we didn’t have enough room.

Yay!. The food is awesome. The staff is friendly, helpful, and polite. Soft shell crab po’boy was incredible and perfect.
