Good menu, friendly staff, cooks could use some work… This is a very welcoming diner with a great staff in a good location, but the food was a bit disappointing. I ordered the omelette with bell peppers, onions, and chorizo. The elements were fine, and the omelette would have been delicious, but it came out with a very, very brown outer skin on the entire omelette. It had been cooked way too long and had a burnt flavor. Again, I could tell the ingredients were good, and the meal would have been very good, but it was just poorly cooked.

A Lincoln Avenue Treasure. We have been having breakfast on Sunday mornings here for over 15 years. It is a warm, friendly coffee shopatmosphere serving the finest and most consistent food for an establishment of this type. The hosts make you feel at home the minute you arrive and the wait staff is courteous and professional and willing to listen while you ‘customize’ your order.I am very particular about my over-easy eggs, how crisp my bacon needs to be, etc. They get it right every time and if not, there is never a problem or hesitation in redoing an order. We linger here over the NYTimes and have never been hurried out even though it can get crowded. A booth by the window along Lincoln Avenue is a special treat. I bring friends here from all over the world to experience a quality Chicago, Greek coffee shop meal. Never has anyone been disappointed – this place is a treasure.
Go for the four deuces- two pancakes, two eggs, two strips of bacon, two sausages. For the win.
