Came here with my family after hearing good things and was a bit disappointed. I got a chili dog and to me there wasn’t much flavor. But what saved this visit for me was the chocolate cake shake. I highly recommend that!
Ordered mussels and they were horrible. There was hardly any broth and they were not fresh. I was so bummed. The waiter was very nice and ordered tomato sandwich instead. It was fine but not worth $20 by any stretch of the imagination. Major disappointment when there are so many other good places to eat while in Chicago.
Unique inventive food. Great atmosphere. The ability to bring your own wine allows you to put the $ you would’ve spent on drinks. I get excited when i know i get to go there. Highly recomended.
The food was good, but this is not a place for picky eaters. Menu items are obscure and complicated. There is no basic chicken breast, steak, etc. Very loud inside too.
So Yummy. This place was a little bit of a splurge for my friends and I (a party of 6) on a visit from out of town but it was SO worth it. The food is wonderfully prepared and the staff was very friendly. We were new to the BYOB concept and failed to pick up a bottle, the waiter recommended a near by liquor store and one of us popped down the street to pick up the wine.Make sure you try the almond-stuffed dates app, good eats indeed!
We had another great dinner for 6 and were well-cared-for by Dein and the gang. We enjoyed mussels as always, artichoke fritters and salads- the beet and radish salad was fab. Shared fish and beef for entrees, and then toasted Joe’s b-day many times! It is great to return to Home Bistro!
Found this place by mistake. It was wonderful. Food was excellent, staff was great!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to go again. Need to bring your own wine
