This Lakeview hole in the wall is a real treasure. We were on our way to Wrigley when we stopped here for dinner. Remember, this is not fast food. Our food took a while because Armando was working by himself. We had avocado salad, a veggie torta and the puesto Cuban. The Cuban was the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had North of Tampa. I’d recommend the Arepa over the torta. The selection of sodas and is outstanding and the vibe is friendly.
If you’re not careful, you might miss this little gem located off Sheffield and Roscoe. I was excited to try it out, and wasn’t disappointed by the friendliness of the owners and atmosphere of the restaurant. However, I was a little underwhelmed by the Cuban sandwich I had, probably because I had very lofty expectations. I’ll definitely go back to try more items on their menu, and I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something different to try in the Wrigleyville/Lakeview area.
