While only a couple of doors down from the game night chaos of the Cubby Bear, Vines seemed miles away from the typical Wrigleyville crush of Lite beer fueled pre-gamers. It isn’t that it wasn’t crowded, quite the contrary, but it wasn’t the veritable mosh pit scene that is fairly commonplace half hour before game time. With a great outdoor seating area, tons of tables inside and a nice little rooftop deck I see Vines as becoming my new place of choice before Cubs games moving forward. You aren’t going to avoid crowds on game night, nor honestly do you necessarily want to, but a little less chaos goes a long way. If you are of this line of thinking, try Vines next time your headed to a game.

Before and after a Cubs games you have many bar options to choose from, it’s with my highest suggestion that you try Vines on Clark. Located directly across the street from the front of Wrigley Field, Vines attracts a bunch of young professional Cubs fans during Cubs home games. The place is full of life with several flat screen high def tvs and lively upbeat music. It’s a great atmosphere. Oh yeah and the food is good too. We sampled 2 appetizers coconut shrimp and buffalo chicken nachos. Both were good with the cocnut shrimp served with a sweet orange pineapple dipping sauce. The buffalo chicken nachos was a new twist that I haven’t seen before. They tasted spicy and cheesy and they were served with sour cream and guacamole, YUM! However the best thing on the menu is their thin crust pizzas. They had several different types to choose from including a create your own option that comes in 2 sizes: individual and large. We had the artichoke and goat cheese and the chicken taco. Both were sone of the best thin crust pizza I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend them. When going down to Wrigleyville you have several option, my suggestion is to check out Vines on Clark an see why so many people are there!
Go there. Has tHe best nachos in Wrigleyville
