Visited Nicks for the first time in over 5 years.Still basically the same with the big Nicks Burger.Unfortunately, what used to be a Mecca for Cubs fans is now owned by White Sox fans.Lost a lot of charm for me.It appears to have lost its popularity, which is not surprising.Not much of a choice of beers unless you like Miller products. Can not hold a candle to any modern sports pub.A relic of the past that has out lived its appeal.
Very Tiny and Tight. Went in for the big burger and an older waitress kept insisting we try her homemade chili. So we broke down and ordered some with our burger. Burger was okay,nothing really special but the chili made us burp for two days. . Cute place but very tiny tables and very small inside.
Had the huge Burger and a bowl of homemade chilli. Tasted great! Burger is huge and you might need to share. Prices are great and wait staff was very friendly. Had a nice older woman with blonde hair that made the chilli. She was a great waitress!
Yuck. Went into Nicks for the first time since new management. The bartender, who also helping in the kitchen was multi -tasking. She took money, stuck her fingers around the rims of the dirty glasses when she cleaned off the dirty tables, washed the table with a dirty rag she had in some bucket and help prepare the food. Never washing her hands. She had no hair net or hat on in the kitchen and she must have forgotten her deodorant that day. I could not tell you how the food was, we took a pass. Had a beer and left
Best Burger and Beef. Their huge, juicy 1lb burgers fill up the plate. You can order chips but no fries (you wouldn’t have room for them anyway). These are the absolute best burgers ever. They also offer a dynamite beef sandwich – green peppers and all! This is good eating folks and it’s always served with a smile!As you’re leaving this restaurant – you’re trying to figure out how soon you can make it back in for another burger or beef!For lunch or dinner – Nick’s Tavern for hamburgers or a beef sandwich. It just doesn’t get and better than this!They’re even open on Sunday!
