Why call it a chicken Parmesan sandwich? I was served a dry, overcooked, unappetizing, unbreaded chicken breast with some cheese and sauce on a roll. Was not good. Real chicken parm has breading, so call it a chicken sandwich, Amato’s.
YUM!. Stopped in here for a quick bite to eat before our brewery tour at Goose Island (across the street). Their pizza really hit the spot! The thin crust is not soggy and has a bit of a crunch, which I love. Their sauce is very flavorful and in perfect proportion. Our slices were served hot, fresh, and quickly. It’s cheap, too — only $3-something for 2 good-sized slices. Free ice water. Very friendly service. This is definitely my new go-to NY slice place, forget about Bacci.
