My favorite pizza place in Chicago so far! Located just up the street from me, it’s an easy take-out option. However, I recently dined in and was so charmed by the atmosphere. It’s practically a hole in the wall, set back into a nondescript building and next to one of the shadiest bars (Drop) I’ve ever been in. Once inside though, it’s the coziest pizza spot! Half Ditka (all the meats), half popeye (spinach, tomatoes, feta, mozz) is my order. They also have great pastas! Highly recommend to anyone that lives in the Old Town/lower LP area.

The pizza was good, and there were good choices for alternatives to red sauces. The bottled beer mighta been stale, but it was a good selection.

Cool place love the alley way entrance had the goat cheese for appetizer and the ditka pizza for main portion really good.

Great group pizza place. I just had Bricks for the first time today. We were part of a large group for a birthday party and this place was great for it. The entrance was pretty cool, kinda like a catacombs of sorts. This place was pretty hoppin’ at 8pm. The bar looked cool, the decor was kinda kitchy, with lots of exposed brick everywhere. Lots of gourmet pizzas, many that that had topping combinations I hadn’t seen before. I especially liked the Red Planet and the Sweet Heat, though the Ditka was good as well. The crust was thin, but not too thin and the toppings were fresh and in the right combination with each other. Not too much sausage, nothing was too salty or too greasy. All in all, we had a great time. I don’t know if I would have had as good of a time if I was trying to be on a date, as it was a busy, somewhat crowded place (but not too crowded). Definitely a good group place. They also have a large selection of beers and wines available.
