Dinner with my girlfriend for a night out. We each ordered cocktails, her a gin cocktail and myself a bourbon. The drinks were very good, my favorite part. We each were craving comfort food and ordered the fried chicken dinner with a honey glaze and mashed potatoes. The chicken was good, but I probably would not order it again or necessarily recommend it. Overall a quality place that was busy and full of life with a unique interior.

Cool cosmopolitan place with a very nice brunch menu! The avocado toast was ok, nothing amazing but I liked the place a lot! Staff was also very welcoming.

Worst Lobster roll Ive ever had. It was burnt and tasted like rubber. Complete waste of money. Ambiance was nice but food didn’t live up to it.Too bad

A really pretentious place. Server was inattentive and came off as rude. Ordered the egg white omelette which says had turkey and avocado; one piece of tiny avocado on a giant omelette filled with turkey made it bland and tasteless. Ordered a side of hash browns that was overcooked and charred. A refreshing restaurant name, but doesn’t live up to it.

Within the Chicago O’hare airport. Remember, this is airport food. Somewhere between T1 & T2. Food is made fresh and competitively priced. Regardless of business, takes about 5 minutes for your food. Great option for breakfast. The Original is easy and flavorful, and has options for the way you like it. In a hurry between flights, this is perfect. Definitely a winner, especially by airport standards.

Maybe I went on an off day but I was not impressed. Service was very slow, our food took forever, we received it cold, and I was not impressed with the flavors (maybe because it was cold…?). We waited a really long time to get our bill and then even longer to get our cars from valet. They were very busy so maybe it was an off day. Overall the decor is nice, and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. I will try it again and hope my second go will be better.

I am obsessed with this place. My best friend took me here for my birthday dinner and I was seriously blown away by the cocktails, food, and atmosphere. It’s a nice little piece of summertime — especially in the dead of Chicago winter.Cocktails: I got the Palm Fizz and Sonoma Coast, my friend got the Bonfire and the Palm Fizz. All were perfectly executed — props to the bartender. Now into the food: we got the ahi tuna tostadas, fresh burrata, and spicy calamari for appetizers. The first two were incredible, I could’ve eaten about 5 orders of each. The flavors of the spicy calamari were delicious but it obviously sat in the window for a little bit (it was chewy – bummer!) because we were taking our time with the other apps, no biggie. I would definitely order it again. We split the ricotta & pecorino ravioli for an entree and that was amazing as well. Finally for dessert we got the lemon meringue which was light, good way to finish our meal.Overall, I will be back to enjoy the beachy vibe — especially in the summer with the retractable roof!! Ps – get some cookies on your way out. I recommend the peanut butter and chocolate rice krispie! lifeontiptoes.com
