They great selection of beer and their Mac n cheese is yummy. Loved their whiskey flight as well. I tried their chef burger with fries it was flavorful. Place is very cozy. Booth tables are very comfortable and relaxing. Way to go guys keep it up
I’m not quite sure what the hype was about this restaurant. The place has a great look, and is huge! The wait staff was kind as well. The fries I got were cold, and the burger was undercooked. The beer was relatively cheap.
Wilde Bar and Grill completely captures the essence of Wilde and serves it up with a decadent flair. There is no cutting corners at this quaint Irish-esque pub. You have had grits until you have had the grits at Wilde. The food was exactly what we had hoped for! The Irish cheddar grits were fabulous. To which I must acknowledge that increasingly I am loving what Chicago is doing with grits. Sorry you southern grit lovers, you have nothing on the Windy City! Great evening. Dined here recently with friends: atmosphere hoppin’ on a beautiful Monday evening: doors open to the patio seating. Food was great, reasonably priced, service excellent. Monday nite 1/2 price bottles of wine!
Nice ambience and energy levels. Good energetic ambience . Good choices of beer and ale. Went there with friends and we had a good time. The food choices were. The areas in the bar were divided into some interesting spaces which gives it some good character.
Awesome Mac N Cheese. I heard the Mac N Cheese was one of the best in the city and it did not disappoint. The sauce had a delicious mix of cheeses, wasn’t too thick, and the sauteed onions added a great touch. I would come back for that dish!
Amazing, but know the time. I have been here twice recently and was blown away by how delicious the food was. Seriously, I never write food reviews, or even have a favorite restaurant, but this one motivated me to have both.Wilde does try to be more than just a restaurant, however, and that can make your experience less enjoyable if you are not prepared. Starting around 8 or 9 on Fridays and Saturdays (and perhaps Thursdays) the customers begin turning into a bar crowd. The whole place is magically transformed into a loud bar right around 11. If you’re not looking for that scene, try to get your meal finished before 10. A start time of 7 will give you some nice ambiance. The NY Strip, the Sheppard’s pie, and the goat cheese and mango (I think) salad are all incredible ambrosia. I didn’t know food could taste like that.
