Hungry at 3am? Feeling like grilling your own food? This is your place. Went here with a group of three and really wasn’t told anything about it before I sat down. Service wasn’t good but not terrible compared to some of the things I read on here, Ordered up some meats and then something amazing happened. They roll out this cart with something like 20 plates and bowls of all kinds of kimchi. There was almost no room on the table after they gave us everything. They set up a grill for you in the middle of the table and you get to cook your own meats they provide. Get ready to come home smelling like a campfire though. Everything was good and I like grilling so it was a pretty cool experience. TL;DR-Grill your own meats!-Awesome appetizer presentation-meh service euroatheart.com

This place is absolutely delicious. Do not. I repeat do not. Try the dish that looks like okra. It is the spiciest thing in the world.

I wish the managers would read these reviews on the service at this restaurant. Some of the waitresses are pushy and rude and they make the business look bad. The managers are friendly pple but They really need to focus on customer service.

Good food, ok service, good value and nice environment except the waitress lady was pushy as hell, she wanted us to pay the bill when we were the only ones in the restaurant. Other than the old lady everything was great

Better Bulgogi Elsewhere. Korean or not, most every Chicagoan has probably been to San Soo Gab San on one early drunken morning or another. I, however waited to try it until I had sampled nearly every other Korean barbecue restaurant on the North Side. I’m glad I waited. Yes, the panchan selection is more plentiful than many competitors’, but when it comes to food, I prefer quality over quantity. As for the main event, prices are higher than average for undistinguished cuts of meat, while portion sizes are smaller than average. In a genre of ethnic restaurants not known for its effusive service, San Soo Gab San set a new low. There are several better competitors within a stone’s throw, and Hae Woon Dae features the same late night hours.

After Hour Heaven. I love it, I love it, I love it. Open til’ 5am, where have you been all my life? The food is great, the ladies running the joint are friendly and helpful. Just a fun spot to dine at in the wee hours of the night.

Love this place. As a recent visitor from Ireland I have never seen anything like this. Seems very authentic. Love the kimchi chigae and the selection of panchan that accompanies is fantastic for the price. Also a great place to visit with friends, and cook the meat on the barbeque.
