Visiting Chicago and decided to try Cafe Con Leche for breakfast. What a great choice. Service was great. The cafe con leche was amazing. The meal was so flavorful and filling. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a great little ‘off the beaten path’ restaurant.
Great cafe au lait. We had breakfast here on the recommendation of our airbnb hosts. We loved this place. If I lived in the neighborhood, I’d be here way too much. They had wonderful chorizo, and everything served was very fresh. My kids had the buttermilk pancakes and raved about them. I’m still craving their cafe au lait. Also, the waitperson was very patient with our tourist questions, and the prices were reasonable.
Don’t be turned away by the appearance of this restaurant from the street. The food is excellent and the service is top notch. The fireplace in the bar area is a great way to warm up a brutal Chicago winter.
All Good Things, Cafe Con Leche. Torta Milanesa done right. Jibarito done right. The cafe con leche done right. I have yet to have anything at Cafe Con Leche that has left me proclaiming I will never return. I must admit that I really loved the restaurant before it enlarged. But with such great food and Logan Square now becoming a magnet for the hip, the artistic, the aware, and the urban professional, more space was required. Thank God the food was not compromised. Hmm. I should start thinking about perhaps trying breakfast there. How about that? chicagoalphabetsoup.com
Their Namesake Is Good. Haven’t had anything but the Cafe con leche, but it was good. Some unsavory characters hanging out in front but they left me alone.
Bucktown. I truly enjoy Ulysses’ new version of Cafe con Leche. The great outdoor ambiance as well as delicious food make this corner cafe an unforgetable experience. Delicious Mexican and American cuisine. Fruit smoothies. Great sirloin steak. I highly recommend.
Cafe con Leche is CUBAN. First off I think it should be noted that Cafe con Leche has been on the same spot for over Fourteen years. Originally owned by Cuban immigrants. This is not your common Mexican restaurant. Mexican food is also served, but this restaurant is born of Cuban coffee & Cuban Sandwiches. Also, the new owners are not Latino. So maybe it should be titled, PalestinianCubaMex Food.
