WARNING – Watch your check!. Visited Cortland’s Garage on a Tu night, where the sidewalk sign board advertised 50% off appetizers. I ordered the $9 Chicken Quesadillas. The service was slow (only one server), but friendly, and the Quesadillas were good. On finally getting my check, I noticed my Quesadillas were billed @ $10, with 50% off. I brought this to the attention of the server. The manager came over and explained to me, this was their standard billing practice for odd priced menu items on Tu night – they raise all prices on your bill by $1. He tried to convince me I was paying less since I was only paying tax on the discounted price and not the full price (he doesn’t know tax law), and refused to adjust my bill to the menu price. He also tried to convince me this was easier for the computer to calculate. I can believe it would be easier for him, but never heard of a computer/POS system that had trouble with 50% off of $9. If you decide to try this place, watch your check! I’d say the food and service isn’t worth the hassle, but if you’re up for a good argument over your bill with a clueless manager, this is the place for you. It would be great to get on film! He really believes his arguments to continue these biling practices and openly admits them! Shocking-
