Do you ever have those mornings and/or later afternoons where you just want really tasty, greasy breakfast food in a no-frills atmosphere? Leave the IHOP chains of this world behind and visit Cozy Corner in Logan Square.Skillets as big as the moon await you right under the California blue line stop. For real… I could’ve fed a hefty family of four with my Abuelita skillet (not to mention the pancakes that came as a side). It had chorizo, pineapple AND jalapeos on it, you guys. Dreams do come true.Next time? Anything involving biscuits and gravy. It looked worth the clogged arteries.Tip: Come with a big group. The weekend brunch lines can be long, but they won’t sit smaller groups at their large booths.
From fairly decent to downright bad!. So I usually go there and am greeted by Mama, most people’s nickname for her, and she talks and laughs and I really enjoy going there. Today I went and found that the let Mama go to replace her with the little blond unpleasant dwarf who tries way too hard to try and be pleasant. I usually went there for breakfast to see Mama. Now that she is gone from there, breakfast will be somewhere else. It wasn’t that good in the first place, and the owner is not the nicest person in the world either. So long Cozy corner. Hope you all get the image you are looking for, cause from my side, it’s not that pretty of a picture!! Mama, you are certainly missed!!!
