Have you ever tasted notes of cashew, chocolate, or citrus in your black coffee? Does that sound pretentious? Yes. But, my life was forever changed when I tried Gaslight’s slow bars (pour overs).Amidst the communal, modern/rustic tables is an actual coffee bar where you can sit and mull over a market price pour from Peru, Ethiopia, and the like. The baristas are super stylish and friendlier than you would expect, considering the posh aesthetic. I’ve only had their coffee, but Jenna Kowalczykswears by their chai and breakfast sandwiches.Gaslight has a peaceful feel – great for finding a cozy spot to settle in with your laptop and feel inspired by rich Logan Square people watching [free wifi]. I’d go as far as to say it’s my favorite neighborhood coffee shop.
My coffee adventures started right in this place. It has a great vibe ,the interior design is outstanding. Excellent coffee, a good selection of pastries. If you want a well crafted latte this is the place !!So rich ,smooth and creamy. It takes between 5-10 min for a drink but worth your time .. instagram.com
Awesome coffee shop. Fairly large space. Awesome breakfast sandwich selections. Great coffee. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops to venture to. Only downfall is if you sit towards the doors/windows during the winter it gets exceptionally drafty.
I’ve been coffee shop hopping lately – finding new places to work and get out of the office a little bit. Let me tell you about this place:1. Good coffee – well great coffee and free refills. I’m in love for this reason alone2. Breakfast selections are on point. Savory egg dishes and a lovely pastry selection 3. Right on Milwaukee and Fullerton which makes for good people watching as I totally space out from doing any real work.I may be here all day.
