Harry Caray’s is a legend in Chicago, so decided to try this cute little outlet tucked in the corner of the airport. Their menu looked interesting and they had a separate gluten free menu. Decided on the chicken Vesuvio…yum, yum, yum! Chicken breast in a wine wine, herb sauce with sweet peas and potato wedges. I think you can get the potato Vesuvio as a side dish too…definitely worth a try…they were my favorite part! This is a nicer, sit down restaurant, but with a casual feel…nice change from the usual fast food & airport sandwich shops. There’s a cute little bar area where you can grab a drink and watch whatever sports are on or there is a quieter dining area in back.Service was excellent. My waiter was friendly, right on top of everything, and knowledgable about the menu. Great meal…would’ve never known I was in an airport!
Hands down my favorite bar in the city. If you’re anything like me, you’re not a fan of loud bars where you need to fight a crowd of people so you can order a $5 Miller light. That’s where the maproom comes in. Here’s the low down.- At least 20 awesome beers on tap.- Crowds seem to disappear after about 10pm so getting a table has never been a problem.- Bartenders might seem a little surly but they mean well. – Relaxed atmosphere to hang out with friends over the aforementioned great beer. – No food served but tamale guy makes his rounds a few times a night.I’ve been here too many times to count and it’s always been a good time. It’s worth a special trip just to try some beers you might never have even known existed. euroatheart.com
