When I arrived in Chicago, I asked my Uber driver where I should go, she highly recommended Portillo’s for an Italian Beef … she said make sure you get it dipped and Hot Peppers… definitely worth the trip!!
I stumbled upon Scofflaw while on my way to a nearby archery class and the little neighborhood bar made me swoon. The cocktails were spot on and the fried chicken sandwich was good, but I’m anxious to come back for dinner to see what else they can do. We told the server we were in a time crunch and they got our food at stat — definitely appreciated! whiskiedwanderlust.com

This bar updates their menu seasonally to account for different flavors and profiles. I had the Ruby Vroom which was made with tequila, campari, strawberry, lime, and the best part? Great gin bar! They have a huge gin selection and great house cocktails too–I’ve loved every single one I’ve tried. Bartenders are friendly, and the cozy parlor vibe makes for a great late-night spot. Can be hard to find a seat on a busy night, and it’s first come first serve for the lounge area. Limited menu, but everything edible is fantastic as well. (Hint: stick around at midnight for a surprise treat!) instagram.com
