Stopped for breakfast while waiting for flight home. Pretty good b’fast menu. Wife had pancakes and I had eggs over easy with bacon, potatoes and toast. While we were seated quickly, it took a while for waitress to bring coffee and take our orders. Was another long wait for food to arrive. pancake order was 3 and they were quite large and tasty, my eggs weren’t over easy, one was well done and one was semi easy the toast was dry but the bacon and potatoes were very good. Tables were small and crowded patrons together. Overall was ok but thats about it

I stopped in here to get out of the cold and the rain. I had the pumpkin soup with the focaccia bread and a glass of their Pinot Grigio. They had a little heater that warmed my feet. It was nice, quiet, and comforting.

The Asparagus & Kale Soup is a great starter with chives, and lemon. The menu changes so check for specials. They have a good selection of salads such as Strawberry Salad, Roasted Beets, Lyonnaise, etc. Desserts to try are Chocolate Cake, Citrus Pavlova, Chocolate Espresso Pot De Crme, Seasonal Ice Cream or Sorbet, etc. chicagobuffets.com

Very sleek and modern after the remodel. Great loop spot for drinks. Appetizers are great and prices are not bad for the loop. I will need to come back for dinner. Recommended for a laid back spot to enjoy a drink.

Atwood was a complete disappointment. I made a reservation online over a month ago for Holiday Tea – an annual family tradition. I had family in town and needed a big table for 6 the week of Christmas so I booked early. The morning of my reservation I got a text from Atwood confirming my reservation, which I replied to, letting them know we would have 6 for tea. Atwood texted back and said they couldn’t honor my reservation for tea- it had to be made by phone. Of course, that wasn’t posted in the online reservation system nor was it mentioned when I called the restaurant a month ago to confirm the holiday tea schedule. Even worse, they confirmed they had a table but could only serve me lunch…the tea menu was already taken by other reservations. I called the Manager and she confirmed the same. Seriously?! Is it that difficult to plate some cookies and sandwiches when the restaurant knows they are sending a party of 6 away just over an hour prior to the reservation time? I won’t be back.

A tale of two dishes. My wife had a wonderful skate, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had the beet linguini, an soggy, gummy blob and quite tasteless and not very attractive to look at. An ill-conceived poached egg on top only added to the gloppy mess.
