My friend and I dined here for lunch one day instead of getting their sandwiches to go. We each had plates, my friend ordering the guava Q chicken while I had the mojo shrimp. My friend’s chicken was cooked in a guava based bbq sauce that was slightly sweet, the chicken paired with rice and beans. My shrimp was made with fragrant onions, garlic, parsley, tomato, and lime. The beans were solid, the beans being extremely flavorful. The rice was alright, but the star of the show was the sweet plantains. They were the best part of the meal period.
A small breakfast place serving hot pressed sandwiches – just what I needed on this cold morning. Ducked into this place for a chorizo/ egg sandwich and Cuban espresso. It would be good to add more of the nice spicy chorizo to the sandwich. The bread is soft. The espresso was superb.
