People rave about Portillo’s hot dogs, and while they’re fabulous, I love their Chicago Beef Sandwiches even more. It’s the best Chicago beef sandwich in the city. They even do a great mail order package of the Chicago beef, rolls, jardinere and peppers. I also love their chopped salad that has the little bits of pasta in it. Definitely worth ordering.

This is obviously a great place for fantastic views of the city… The service was polite, and efficient. The wine I ordered was amazing. My friends cocktails were amazing, quick service. There was a wait due to the time – about an hour prior to sundown on a Saturday evening… but it really wasn’t that bad. We ordered a seafood platter with their version of fried okra. The okra was very unique – would order again. The seafood platter was meh….. I’ll definitely for for drinks and the view.
Cindy’s is rated as one of the top 5 rooftop bars in Chicago, and quite rightly so! This has been my favorite place to take visiting friends to, especially because of the fantastic view overlooking Millennium Park. Whether you catch the breathtaking sunset over Lake Michigan during the evening or the glittering lights of Chicago in the nighttime, Cindy’s is a must-visit. The fireplaces in the outdoor area are my absolute favorite, making this spot a fun time during the colder months of Chicago as well.
Ambiance is fantastic – fun loft feel. I enjoyed the creative drinks — and paid for it. 😉 They are rather expensive, but well-crafted. The view outside, even in December, was worth it. I will definitely be back again.
Popular place in Chicago. Located atop the Chicago athletic association hotel it has great views north of the area including the parks and lake. After a certain time you can only get a table with a reservation and there is a minimum number of people to get a reservation. We called several days ahead but as a party of two wouldn’t be able to get a table so ended up just going for drinks.The inside space is bright and well lit. The outside has great views. Nice place for sunset. They had fires outside as well.
When you want to see the skyline/park/lakeshore on a beautiful day his is definitely the place to go…Amazing drinks, DJ & view! Sunday FUNday!
