Two great music guitar players. We were listening on the edge of our chairs!Beautiful decor, nibbles were great, staff also! But it was all about the music and the musicians! Can’t wait to come and see some other acts!

Visited this place specially to have some wine. We were there on a Sunday and it was really crowded. We ordered our wines & sat by the river. It felt amazing. The wine was great!

Amazing place on the river walk for drinks. I have only been here for drinks and I love it! You can doc your boat for a small docking fee. The views, the atmosphere, the music, the drinks, just all around a great place! Gets very busy for happy hour so just keep in mind that it will take a While to get a drink. But this is one of my favorite happy hour places.

How can you leave Chicago without strolling about the Riverwalk and visiting City Winery? It’s almost a given to enjoy a couple of wine glasses by the river, basking in the brilliance of the place, enjoying the weather and the view. One evening, after enjoying our Architectural Boat Tour we walked along the Riverwalk to arrive at City Winery. It is a small little place with an entirely outdoor seating along the steps at the riverfront, pretty much like a river facing amphitheatre. A couple of tables and some pre-booked enclosed mini tent like private tables were neatly lined. We ordered: Pinot Noirs – Red and White 3 Salted Caramel Ice-Cream with Mini Pretzels. Hummus Both the wines were excellent. Pinot Noir’s are definitely my new found love. As for the ice cream, it was a bit much to fully enjoy this in the cold, windy weather. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the salted caramel – they gave two generous scoops topped with 3 mini pretzels. Now I’m mentioning 3 because I really craved for more. They were delicious and paired extremely well with the ice-cream, but so tiny and got over way too fast! We even ordered a little Hummus plate. All I remember is it got over instantly and that the dips has come in cute little glass jars. Food – 3.5/5Drinks & Ice-Cream – 4.5/5Ambience – 4.5/5Service – 4/5Value for Money – 4/5 Visiting City Winery is a must, more so for the experience than anything else. Just sitting and enjoying a breathtaking view, in good company and good weather, over some wine is absolute bliss 🙂

I was really excited about this place and overall it’s not bad. I was expecting the same high quality of their main location and the options for food were sort of lacking for the price. We split a sandwich that was good, but not great. The River Red Blend is nice, but our server didn’t even know anything about the wine being served and quite frankly was borderlining on being rude. Will always want to come back to have wine by the river, but disappointing first experience. northandred.com
