Came here after a Blackhawks game since it was the only place open near my hotel. Didn’t have the food. Beer list is OK, the usual suspects and nothing extraordinary. Bartender is slow, more interested in socializing and kind of an asshole. Probably wouldn’t come back unless it was the only option again.
Good place I found for brunch, I was very surprised that the place was not too busy. Food was very good and fast service, lunch menu looked also pretty good and seems to be a good place for happy hour. sebblog.com
Great beer selection. It’s kind of a run of the mill bar until you see the beer selection. Sometimes the no frills bar is a perfect oasis after a long stressful day at work. Friendly unobtrusive staff. Going into it with limited expectations you end up pleasantly surprised.
Shepards pie. Got to try it it’s the best ever
Most amazing mac n cheese I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere. Very historic building in downtown chicago. Service was outstanding! Recommend this to everyone.
Ug.. Good lord!
A Pleasant Place to Nosh or Imbibe. This large, vaguely Irish themed restaurant has but a touch of Ireland on the menu, and then mostly on the beer side. But that isn’t to say you won’t enjoy yourself if you pay a visit. First, the restaurant is attractive, with a handsome bar and several dining areas, including a private alcove or two. And prices are quite reasonable considering its choice location just off the Chicago River, on Wabash. They have a well landscaped outdoor seating area, as well. The menu is pretty standard pub grub, and while no one is going to write home to the family in Dublin, Ohio, singing the praises of the salads, wraps or other fare, the food hits the spot. The draft and bottled beer menu has a few unusual selections that are sure to please. They also offer a Saturday brunch until 1 pm, which is nice to know if you are staying at one of the many area hotels, or plan to hit a nearby museum or Millenium Park.
