I said Greek it is today for lunch.Walked about 6 blocks to reach GRK Greek Kitchen. The restaurant looks small from outside but its very long. On the right you have the main dine area and fr end is the counter. A long line awaited me, but as noted other reviews the line is fast moving.Ordered lamb and beef gyros plate.A bed was made with a good size portion of Beef &Lamb gyro. I chose tahini sauce. Rice, hummus, fresh tomatoes,& cucumber salad, romaine lettuce, kalamata olives were the other toppings. Feta was sprinkled on top of everything.Tried whole wheat pita for the first time, it tasted great.Gyro almost melted in my mouth. Decent size portion made it a perfect lunch.Only slight blemish was the hummus was bit salty for my taste.

Greek Food is not Latin any longer. It is quickly gaining currency and legitimacy, still not truly international cuisine which is available everywhere in the world, but it is getting there. We ordered for a Falafal Wrap/ Roll/ Handheld, a Veggie Roll and a Chicken Soup. All three products were outstanding. Ambiance is good. Location is perfect and seating is comfortable. My best experience in Chicago by far.

GRK is a convenient restaurant to pick up a salad or sandwich. People can dine in, but it’s mostly meant for on-the-go. The food is very fresh and sticks to the basics-handhelds, salads, or platters. The gyros is good and the salads are very plentiful. The spanakopita is not bad either, but I’ve had a little better. I feel like the real star of the restaurant is the salad selection. The prices are reasonable, the service is speedy (but you need to know what you want before you get to the register-otherwise, everyone will be extremely annoyed), and it’s mostly made to order.

Great place for a quick lunch! The lines move quickly and the food is delicious and flavorful. I had the loukaniko (Greek sausage) which was amazing! Tried my friend’s chicken souvlaki which was delicious. The pita bread is bigger than most other restaurants which I like. The orzo salad was really good as was the rice. I really like this place and will defenitely frequent it.

Med Kitchen vs Roti. If you work in downtown Chicago or DC, you’ve probably seen and eaten at Roti, which is a Chipotle-style restaurant (my colleagues laugh at me when I say that), where you simply choose your base, protein, filling/toppings and grab a soda in the end. Roti is my favorite because I really like their hummus and meat. So I tried Med Kitchen because it looks similar, and here’s the comparison of the two in my opinion:Base: Rice – Med’s rice seasoned betterMeat: Steak – Roti’s meat marinated better and warmer. Med’s is a bit too dryFilling: Med offers 1 veg (tomato and cucumber) while Roti has a lot more varietyHummus: Roti’s thicker and Med’s lighter. Both are goodPita: Med is starchy and filling, Roti is warm and fresh. Both are good. Portion: Roti is probably 20% larger on both plate and pita bread. After eating Med plate & pita I feel just full, but if I finish a Roti plate & pita then I would feel TOO fullPrice: Roti comes to $9.97 with a drink & without extra topping. Med charges extra for steak 2 and Hummus w Pita 3. However everything came to $10.37 in the end. Still the portion is relatively smaller

Delicious! The food and options were really good for the price. The meal was very messy and filling. We would definitely go hack.
