Decadent and quick. Great place on the loop. I walked from Chicago Hilton to W. Washington on a whim to eat here. When I walked in the door, I knew the walk was worth the smell of smoked meets and fresh bread.
It’s all about the Bretzel…. 06.29.09—Mmmm, Hannah’s bretzel…the ingredients are of the highest quality, the deli meats are great, and the bretzel bread is always baked fresh. We really do like this spot, and have been there many times – but this is the first time it was official business. Some of the favorites are the veggie-bomb sammich, soups and salads. Sergio’s special is also a big hit – don’t be afraid to custom make your own sandwich though. With lots of ingredients and chutney’s to choose from, you might have to try it a few times. They also sell their bretzels separately, but we recommend sticking to the original bretzles, not the multi-grain one (while good, it’s just not the same). There is also an entire wall of fancy chocolates, some with crazy ingredients. For the health-conscience, side orders of chips (included) can be subbed for soy nuts or almonds. Really good food, a little expensive for just a sammich (a little small), but the ingredients are top-notch so we would still highly recommend Hannah’s.
