I ordered three shrimp tacos. the picture showed nice shrimp on the tacos on the menu. It was their special. When I got them I said they don’t have any shrimp on them and I asked the waiter to please bring the shrimp. The waiter came back and told me that the shrimp were on the bottom so I went searching for the shrimp and found four little shrimp about the size of 3/8 of an inch in diameter. Unbelievable, I was eating corn tortillas cabbage and a little slice of avocado for $15. In the past I’ve like this restaurant but I think will be a long time before I return.

Great little place tucked away in the historical Garfield building. The staff is very and personable and breakfast was great. We liked the vintage diner experience. We met the owner who still uses a cash register from the 1920’s, and as a result is cash-only. ATM inside. I was amused by the bathroom, which is very clean and vintage industrial, containing a stainless steel soap dispenser and metal paper towel holder. There’s a reason they’ve been around since 1980.
Delicious great service but only takes cash. Enjoyed the fried green tomatoes the most but the gumbo is also very creamy and with the right amount of spice
It was pretty good food but definitely could’ve been better in terms of spices. I ordered the Louisiana Deluxe which was a sampler so that I could try a variety of things. The red beans and rice were phenomenal but the greens and jambalaya were a little off because it had a bit of a sweet flavor which isn’t customary for me. Overall I wish the food had a bit more kick to it but if you are trying to get a fix then this is the place.
Had a hard time locating this place but its worth the visit. I had the chicken fried steak and its the best plus their gravy was awesome
Shrimp and grits was delicious! Casual atmosphere.
