We stopped at Italian Village to eat before going to see Hamilton at the theatre – very convenient location. Service was pretty quick. Brought out a big loaf of bread to start with. We had toasted ravioli, which was very yummy. I ordered the agnolotti (half-moon pasta filled with ricotta and spinach) – it was good but not spectacular. Prices are fairly high ($18.25 for that plate of pasta).
Rustic, classic Italian ambiance. Friendly, efficient server. I ordered off regular menu, Chicken Marsala, a favorite of mine, and it was truly awful. Marsala sauce was definitely from a jar or can. Smelled like chemicals, gelatinous and just bad. Chicken portion was generous and tender, but that sauce! Yuck. My companion got one of the specials, the Seafood manicotti. He loved it. Tasted fresh, deliciously garlicky, generous amount of seafood. A mixed experience.
