It’s expensive but well worth it. I worried that my husband would be under-dressed given his refusal to pack anything other than jeans for our trip to town. The restaurant was nice but not stuffy. We had prosciutto wrapped mozzarella ($14, I think) as an appetizer. It is served warm with sweet red peppers and a balsamic drizzle. It was nothing short of incredible. Bread was complimentary but also quite tasty. I skipped the salad course as I knew I’d be full without it. Main course was a 6-oz filet with bacon wrapped scallops and grilled shrimp ($55). I don’t think I’ve ever had a better steak. Sides are a la carte and served in dishes large enough to share with your table. We had sour cream mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. I had no complaints about either, but they weren’t the stars of the meal. After that and two glasses of wine I was very full and decided to pass on dessert although the white chocolate blueberry bread pudding almost changed my mind. My husband and I spent $226 + tip. For a romantic night out, it was ideal. I have no regrets about the price.

Amazing filet mignon, mushrooms and spinash. Smooth creamy potatos. Lovely room and helpful staff. Well located. What a nice way to start in Chicago.

Delicious steak, great service and ambience but what an onion rings. Is it possible that onion rings can be more delicious than steak? But it’s the best one I have ever ate. Steaks are great too and side dishes are amazing. Strongly recommended. You should finish this great meal with real single malt like Glenmorangie

Chicago Morton’s. Starting with the Matre d’ who rushed us to a table, tossed the menu on the table and departed as quick to our server who was trying to cover too many tables. Service was weak for a steakhouse at $$$$. Our food sat under the heat lamps for close to 10 minutes (I had a clear view of our order). Meat was not cooked as ordered. Morton’s, you should know better.
