Naansense (Naansense, 113 S Clinton St, Chicago, IL 60606, USA) @ Chicago near to Presidential Towers and Next to Chipotle. This outlet is basically served Indian food with modern touch , one would say they convert the Indian food to fusion food.As per my observation, they tried to served Indian food the way Chipotle serve Mexican food. The concept is nice and outlet was very near to my place, I had tried chicken samosa, lassi and Chicken naanwich. I found all these items ok and portion was average. Overall one would definitely go for quick bite with good taste and top class service.I wish they would improve with the portion and little bit to add on taste (The things i tired was OK but being an Indian I would love to add more taste into it, as per Indian taste something was missing to give you a wow punch).Overall experience was good.Thank you !! Team Naansense…Keep it up!!Thanks!!CSD

It’s a great concept of offering Indian food with quick service. But when I tried their wrap I felt there was missing something. The flavor of the sauces they have was not rich. I would want my Indian wrap sandwich with richness and flavorful with its traditional Style of texture and I didn’t not find that. Rest service wise staff was helpful and nice.

Naansense was Fooda Pop-up in the cafeteria. If you will it is Indian style Chipotle. On a bed of rice ( brown or white) you get a choice of Chicken, Lamb, Veggies or Panneer ( Indian Cottage cheese). Choices of sauce areMadras Curry – Coconut basedKorma – Onion, Ginger Garlic Sauce Tikka -Tomato based sauceVindaloo – Coconut and Vinegar basedYou can top up with Mint chutney or Garlic Raitha. This is served with a Pita bread( It’s not a Naan, ironic isn’t it)I went for Paneer with Tikka sauce , tasted ok, but portion can be improved.

I had just arrived at Chicago and had heard about this Indian inspired Chipotle-styled eatery. Thought would check it out to see how it is. It certainly has a lot of Indian elements, starting from Naans to Vindaloo to Tikka sauce. I took a chicken bowl and it was okay, nothing great. The quantity of meat was pretty good. The overall taste was mostly a hoch-poch of the different sauces that I took. The Vindaloo sauce was supposedly very spicy, but Indians won’t have much of a problem with it. The attendant asked me twice and made sure if I wouldn’t come running back shouting about the hotness of the final dish. 😛 We also took the American Lassi, but it was more of Mango Lassi and I think there wasn’t any reason to call it American, per se. Okay-good-ish experience.

Friendly service and staff has helpful suggestions. Spicy as you want it with good music. A fast casual Indian style restaurant. If you like Indian food you will love it.

Naansense Opening for Dinner!. The Loops lunchtime hotspot is opening for dinner! I was thrilled to hear this news. I am lucky if I make it across the street for lunch, much less 2 miles away. I was even more excited to be invited to a preview of the dinner menu. The concept behind Naansense is casual modern Indian food. The chefs have a creative way to reinventing classics, in the most genius ways. A prime example of this is the chicken wings with indian sauces and spices. My husband declared that the combination of two such wonderful food was almost too much. Naansenses food is fusion, but without being annoying and overdone. We were able to sample much of the menu, which had everything from lamb and veggies burgers, to more traditional Indian cuisine line naan and chicken tikka masala. Our favorite was a spinach dish with fingerling potatoes (which sadly I cant remember the name of). The naan was delightful and it was the perfect vehicle for soaking up all of the excess sauce from the chicken tikka masala.Definitely check out Naansense. The owners simply couldnt be any nicer or more passionate about food. Something tells me that Naansense is just the beginning to big things to come. I did get the scoop that Naansense will have food trucks hitting the streets (and the parking spot outside my building!) of Chicago in the next few months.Naansense is located at 171 North Wells Street, in Chicagos Loop. They also serve lunch. They do not take reservations. thekittchen.com

Happening lunch spot! With a line stretching out the door, we knew this had to be one of the Loop’s best kept secrets. We both had chicken naanwiches, which is exactly what it sounds like: grilled chicken, marinated in Indian spices, wrapped in warm flatbread. I had a side of Chana masala and my wife, the spicy fries. We made a note, that this would definitely be a must eat on our next return to the city!
