On Top: Fresh Water Eel, Crab Meat, and Avocado with Eel SauceThis sushi was made cooked fish.Sujay had Lunch option A Vegetable Roll (4 Pcs),Avocado Roll (2 Pcs),Cucumber Roll (2 Pcs),Carrot Roll (2 Pcs)Freshly made Sushi. Osaka-it to me….. Konbanwa – This weeks lunch endeavor took the Loopers to Osaka Express, located on Michigan ave. It seems to be a popular spot, as the line quickly became very long soon after we entered. Being close to the Art Institute school as well as other educational establishments, it seems to be heavily frequented by students as well as the corporate lunch crowd. Many people order food to go, but there are a few tables and counters to sit at. It should be noted that they seem to be famous for their smoothies, though unfortunately, none of us tried them. I ordered the California roll, spicy tuna roll and miso soup. I have to say I was disappointed by the sushi, it just didn’t taste great to me but it was ok. The miso soup was also just meh, and I love miso soup and get it quite often when it is available. However, don’t just listen to me – my two partners both thoroughly enjoyed their sushi – but only tried a sampling of vegetarian rolls. Though they usually order vegetarian rolls, these were some of their favorites! Well, even the best reviewers can agree to disagree, so perhaps you should try this place for yourself to see what you think. The prices are very reasonable, and the selection is sufficient. !
