Avoid at all Costs -. Went there on a Saturday and tried to use a http://restaurant.com coupon. The waitress said they discontinued them two weeks ago. I contacted http://restaurant.com and http://restaurant.com told me they were bound by contract and had to honor the coupon. I will just trade it in for another restaurant as the place was terrible. The waitress was surly, never asked us for refills (there were four in my group), the food was so-so. The bathroom had no tp and the chain would not flush in the ladies’ room. I asked for my lettuce and tomato on the side of my steak sandwich and sure enough it was on the sandwich. There are so many other restaurants in the loop which have such good food I would never, ever go back here.

We were looking for a place to eat and get a beer at noon on Sunday in the Loop, and we walked by this place. We walked in, and there was just one other person, so we easily found a seat. They had the game on and the bartender/waitress/owner(?) quickly sat us and took our drink order. The food menu had all the basic pub food, and what we had was like it should be. Now, the real plus for this place is their microbrews (on Saturdays and Sundays micros are only $4!). They have 20+ on tap, with a skew towards IPAs when we were there. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Where have ;you been…. Where have you been all my life?? I can’t believe I’ve worked in the Loop for 18 years and just now discovered this bar. Can I hit the rewind button? This bar is not for everything or everyone (i.e., high-maintenance, fussy types), but if you want a good, honest bar that is warm and friendly inside on those cold winter days, pull up a stool. Stocks & Blondes is a hidden gem and a new fav.
