Cozy and delicious!. This is a cozy place for a romantic dinner. The deco reminded me of one of the private clubs in the movie GOOD FELLAS. The food was freshly made and delicious! I had the carbonara pasta. It was possibly the best I have even had! I recommend this restaurant.
Charming place…Italian Food….Made with Love….. My Dad recommended this place, having worked in chicago for 40 years and had many lunches at La Fontanella. Maria and Franco, were so charming and wonderful, They cook everything handmade/homemade, made to order, even their ice tea was brewed by them and delicious! We ordered their specials, First started with the Muscles which were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Perfect garlic blends and beautiful taste, gorgeous large fresh muscles. We each got a pasta special, My dad tried the capellini, angel hair type of pasta with shrimp, yummm!. I had home made wheat/cheese raviolis in vodka sauce, which i could have eatten the sauce straight with a spoon, it was wonderful. We had a wonderful chat with Maria and Franco afterwards. Sweet, happy people, who make you feel like they are cooking every meal just for you! what else could you want. Want a quiet and quaint setting and italian food made with love. try this place!

What a wonderful place. My wife and I revisited Rome in Chicago! We went for our honeymoon to the Vatican city and being in LA FONTANELLA on an intimate Saturday evening in this restaurant where you’re welcomed by the chef/restauranteur took us back to the quaint places in Roma that left their marks on our hearts. She loved the fetuccini alfredo. It was the best alfredo I’ve ever tasted(she gave me a couple of creamy spoonfuls) and my chicken parmigiana was yum yum yum. Visit soon!
