They discriminate based on orientation of your ID. I went to see a local band play here. The first thing you notice as you walk in is the assault on your auditory sense inflicted by the horrible acoustics. Their drink menu consisted of beer, which isn’t strange for a brewery. When my girlfriend and I were placing our drink order the waitress walked off with my girlfriend’s ID to ask the others that work there if they can accept it. It is a state issued ID that clearly shows her birthday and that she is over 21. However, the ID was vertical. They refused to serve her drink based on the vertical orientation of her ID instead of using their brain and seeing that she is clearly over 21. With that we left and I will never return.

I love that they had a vast amount of vegan/veg head friendly. Service was absolutely terrible. No concept of two bite check up, greet times or refills. Minus the beer oddly enough she was more than eagar to keep it filled. Went to see a jazz band that played three songs and ended up leaving after 30 min of them lolly gagging. I wouldn’t make a special trip to eat here.

Came for the beer, stayed for the food….and beer. Pleasantly surprised to hear there was a microbrewery in Rockford that served only vegan food to boot. As a vegan, I may be biased, but my husband loved the food too! We had fried pickles, nachos, and hot ‘wings’ to start. If you do not like wasabi, I suggest asking for a chipotle mayo to dip your fried pickles in. Myself, I enjoyed the wasabi mayo it came it. All apps were amazing. The black bean burger and garlic fries were both delicious.Beer was excellent. I would suggest trying them all in their sampler.

I’ve been to Pigminds a couple times for beer. The menu is vegan fare. Today is the first time I ate there. We started with the fried pickles. They were decent; they would be better if they were chips instead of spears. I had the black bean burger. It was very, very good. I spiced it up a bit by putting on some of the wasabi dipping sauce that was served with the fried pickles. Yum!! Overall they have a unique menu, great beer, friendly staff. The patio space is great. I’d definitely go back.

I recently ate at Pig Minds for the first time and was blown away. Our table got the nachos and stuffed mushrooms as appetizers, both were outstanding. We also got the Reuben, mushroom burger, buffalo chicken wrap, and chili. Everyone loved everything, even the non-vegans. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had. For dessert we got the brownie and peanut butter crispy. The portions are meant for sharing and just as delicious as the rest of the fair. We sampled two of the beers and a guest cider. You could go there just for the beer, it’s that good. I will definitely be frequenting this establishment often.

Super awesome food!. Pig Minds has it all: great food, and great microbrew beer. The food happens to be vegan, which I am not, but it’s delicious and I challenge anyone to not like the food. The bruschetta burger is a meat-free burger with a wonderful balsamic vinaigrette and of course tomatoes! The mushroom burger was also awesome. The beer is really nice, too. There is an outdoor eating area. Don’t miss it! Note: I have absolutely no connection to this restaurant, I don’t know who owns it, I have eaten there about 4 times and it has been a really great meal each time.
