It is heaven!It doesn’t look the cleanest inside, wish they would upgrade a little bit, they could prob do so much better, but I’m glad it’s still open!Donuts are the bomb 🙂

Best bakery in the world!!. It has been years since I have lived in McHenry, but whenever I come back to visit the area a stop in the Riverside Bakeshop is a must!! After living in NC for 25 years and not having a place with the same consistent quality and reasonable pricing available at this bakery I have come to realize what a special place it is.
Conesseur. I have been going to this bakery for over 36 years and have never been unhappy with what I have pusrchased.Their Donnuts are purchased by many restuarants in a large radius of the town of McHenry and loved by everybody. Very Large, Cake Type, with more than enough Chocolate Frosting,and not expensive.
Fantastic people! Ordered a birthday cake, and I accidently ordered the wrong kind. Called late at night the night before just hoping they had an answering machine. Owner/baker was not only there but answered the phone! He happily changed my order and I was able to still pick it up on time. Best of all, the cake was fantastic! Places like this are rare indeed! I hope anyone reading this will help support a wonderful place like this, which in this tough economy are becoming so very rare. Thank you Riverside for saving the day!
