Bare Bones BBQ has a home style atmosphere, which seems well and good, but isn’t. The only reason this place gets a 2.5 is the food, which is quite excellent. Unfortunately it isn’t worth the wait; dealing with the inattentive and inept staff, or the cramped space that there is to go around. There is constant salad bar traffic, which conflicts with people@ standing in line to eat (and I mean standing, because there is 1 single bench to sit on). While standing in line they took a reservation that appeared and was seated before I. The food was excellent, but truly not worth it.
If you have a craving for BBQ this place has a nice selection and the food is good. If you’re looking for a welcoming,friendly service, this is the wrong place. It’s disappointing because this place has a lot of potential.
WOW. First visit: AMAZING! Had classic pulled pork dinner with corn bread and salad. Pork was succulent, BBQ sauce was incredible…do yourself a favor and order the corn bread. Everything about this dinner was worth every penny and more.Second visit: BBQ Chicken Pizza…AMAZING! Delicious, amazing, delicious.
Been in the quad cities for over six months now, I’m from the south BBQ here just isn’t BBQ anywhere I have found. Then tried bare bones, must say they were the best by far I’ve found so far. Had the ribs, weren’t perfect ( I like mine dry ) which they were for the most part just seasonings. Would be really good if you could get a slab and let them cool off, Would definitely recommend trying
