SouthPark Excellent. Our family visited this last weekend on Saturday night.Was little concerned from reveiws.Food was excellent and service was superior.Daughter loves the Tacos and is very pickyChilea Renallee, Chicken Tacos and Carne Asada Tacos all extremely good.Large Rasberry Margarita very tasty along with homemade chips and Salsa.No worries Will be back!!
Moline/East Moline Location. The original location – Went to eat there last night, mostly for the memories. I had went there for so many yearsand still have so much love and respect for my friend Angel. RIP hun, miss you 😉 I am so sorry to report and I know that he would be so disappointed to know that the service at this location is very poor. I spend quite some time just observing the serve and the attitude and it is shameful and a disgrace that the people who were that would not represent this location with pride and respect as they do in their other locations. Which I much mention have the most friendly and excellent service. The food is always wonderful I cannot take anything from that, Please do not ever change the recipes. I did eat once at the location in Milan which was not remotely the same food and thought that is may be a different restaurant entirely as the food and service were both awful but not going back there. Would love to return to the original location if the service would improve but not if i have to chase a rude wait staff down when it is not even busy to ask repeatly for a refill on everything and receive attitudes and dirty looks. I know that I am very friendly and a good tipper which should be here nor there but if the job is so awful find something different and stop chasing off the customers. This is a business people have known and loved for a very long time and for many it is for the love of Angel and I personal would hate to see it be lost over poor service. We love Jalepeno’s/Habenero’s! We love Angel! Let him live on through the restaurants. Let him live on in the hearts of all of us. This is something to smile about 🙂 Bring this to your tables. Habeneros Forever!
Unhappy with Habenero’s in Moline!. I am glad to hear that someone else had a poor, rude disappointing experience at Habanero’s in Moline. I also love their food and have frequented all three locations in the Quad Cities, with coworkers, groups, family and friends. I had the same rude problems that another customer reported but it has happened twice. Both times I was with a party of 3. Different people each time. The 1st bad visit was poor service and rude staff. Wrong food brought to us. The same problem with the chips as the other reviewer. The woman at the register or supposedly hostess is the biggest problem and terribly rude and seems like an unhappy person. Servers (3 different server people we dealt with were incompetent. We decided that we would never spend our precious money at a Habenero’s again! I did like their food and gave them another chance. Today 2/18/2011 we decided to forgive and try them again. We didn’t even sit down this time. I asked the register/hostess person if we could have an empty booth after she sat our menus at a table. Her response was very rude and unbelievable!!!!! I would fire her in an instant if I was the owner and witnessed this behavior!!! We walked out of this restaurant with out even sitting down. We went to Lolita’s Mexican restaurant in Silvis and had wonderful service, fantastic food and lots chips and salsa. Lolita’s is now my favorite Quad Cities Mexican Restaurant! I have heard many people praise Habenero’s. I then tell them our experiences. Word of mouth can be the best advertisement to avoid a place! Now I know for sure that I will NEVER EVER visit any of the Habanero’s restaurants ever again! One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch!
Bad Service. I just dined at Habaneros in Moline. I was so upset about the service. I love Habaneros’ food and service at Northpark and Southpark mall and dine there weekly. The waitress at Habaneros in Moline was incredibly rude. We were given a basket of chips only after asking with about 5 chips in it. Then when asked for a refill we were informed it would cost. I will never return to this restaurant. I called to complain to a manager after the meal and was argued with and told that since I ordered a la cart that I do not get free chips. Arguing with a customer? I tell everyone I know about this horrible experience.
Habanero’s. I like it. What are the hours? Could the hours be posted on the website? Is the 4th Ave. place closed on Sunday?
Great All Around. The employees at Haberno’s in South Park are not only extremely attentive and quick, they are also extremely friendly. The service is fast, the food is hot & delicious. And you cannot beat their prices. My husband and I can often eat here for under $13 with two meals and one drink!
The family has enjoyed this Quad City restaurant before they moved to East Moline. Still order the Suiza and Mexican enchiladas, combo plate with sopas and chicken ench., and vegi burrito. Skip the cheese on the beans if you don’t care for feta.
