While I agree that the atmosphere definitely leaves something to be desired, the soups and salads are some of the best in the Quad cities and definitely a value for the price.I definitely recommend the spinach salad which comes dressed in a very unique and amazing poppyseed dressing. Pair with the French onion soup for a filling and flavorful lunch.

Absolutely a no go. We’ve all seen tired restaurants and this place is TIRED. Ambiance, seating, lighting, food, even the employees look tired. Prices are high and food is poor.

Awful. Ignore all previous reviews – they changed the menu. The prices are up and the food quality is dramatically down.Beef Stroganoff you know thick needles and chunks of beef and maybe mushrooms – some sauce on it but not too much? Theirs came in a bowl with the thinnest linguin, some tough chunks of meat and a few mushrooms barely visible over a bowl of soupy sauce. I will give them one more chance and that would be strike 33 and you’re off my list! They used to have some cheaper meals and most got a salad but now only the more expensive meals do.

The food was good, but the wait time was too long considering the amount of people there. The service was poor.

  • Not Weak

    Yum, good home-style cooking.

  • Eddie

    Good catfish and reasonably priced.

So-So. The bread and honey butter are great, cinnamon rolls good. But everything in between is okay. We had a party of five for carryout, and they got one order completely wrong -created something bland that wasn’t even on the menu! It used to be GREAT years ago-but I woudn’t go out of my way to go there now.
