This restaurant is my all time favorite. Fabulous habachi chicken and great sushi. One of the few places I like sushi from. Definitely worthwhile but it is a tad expensive though.
Really fun and good. You can sit in the sushi bar, or go to the hibachi grill. Either way the food is very good, employees are nice and I really like the seaweed salad and edamame! Their ginger dressing for the house salad is out of this world!
AWESOME…5 STARS. We loved it, the food was incredible, sushi, habachi and service outstanding. It is priced higher than $10-!5 an entree but worth every cent. Large portions, our newest fav
Good sushi. They used to be called by a different name. They have daily specials not on the menu so be sure to ask b
Good for a quick lunch or dinner. Good sushi and service. I could do without the birthday songs, but that comes in almost every Japanese steakhouse, so there’s no avoiding that, especially in the Midwest.
Decent sushi. Small menu. Clean and friendly.
Get the sushi. I like sushi, and the sushi bar at Osaka is great. I’ve never understood the fascination with the showy, performance driven Japanese steakhouse dining experience. I guess it’s fun for a party, but when I go out to dinner, I really prefer to enjoy a conversation with my wife or other diners. It’s odd to sit a table surrounding a grill and watch a show as your food is being prepared. If you like that sort of thing, it appears that Osaka puts on a pretty good show.As for me, a nice plate of sushi or sashimi and a bowl of miso soup is a pretty satisfying meal. Osaka delivers on this, with consistent results over several visits. The food is not cheap, but flying in fresh fish comes at a cost. It’s not out of line, but I don’t eat there as often as I might if it were a bit less pricy. There is a pretty nice option if you’re not too hungry: a small sashimi appetizer plate with a side order of rice and a bowl of miso soup is very satisfying if you’re not ravenous. And it won’t set you back more than about $10. Not cheap, but it will satisfy a raw fish craving. The atmosphere is nice — both at the Moline location and at the new Bettendorf location on Utica Ridge.
