On the edge of town and away from the Hwy, locals know a good Dog. Sliced beef with peppers is full of flavor and the fries are an old style treat. Owner cooks the food, his meals and dinning room decor reflect his nostalgic style.

Stopped when traveling thru Illinois and had a great beef and sausage combo with fresh cut fries! Sausage was super tasty and the au jus was very good and flavorful.
We stopped while traveling through Mount Vernon. Small restaurant, but had good Chili Cheese Dogs. Employees were nice and kept the place clean.
The application said it was open now. When we got here, it was closed! That stinks because we came out of our way toget here. Please update TripAdvisor with this information!
