Portillos is a great restaurant to eat at when everyone wants something different! It is great for large groups like a volleyball team after a tournament. I highly recommend the cheese sauce for your fries…its yummy!
Bill’s in Mundelein… sigh, why is it bustling with patrons? Ostensibly a decent place, at a glance, but, it doesn’t feel clean, needs refreshing, has inattentive service staff with questionable intelligence. The pizza here is pretty good, but, like, it’s called hospitality, and you might be better off doing take out and dining elsewhere.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!DO NOT EAT HERE.We ordered a pizza that never, ever came, and our waitress never once came and checked on us… Horrible Service!
The food was decent, but not worth the awful service. There’s nothing like walking into a restaurant and not feeling welcome. Not to mention, the excessive display of taxidermied creatures was rather disturbing.
Service less than 0. Ok, walked in ‘bar’ door, waitress standing there on cash register. 3 minutes later she walks away without telling us host desk was at other end, about 25 feet away. Manager walking towards us (servicing other customers). Asked him if we needed to be seated or seat ourselves. He tells us host desk is at other end of bar. Get over there and host seats us immediately cause they weren’t that crowded. Get seated and another 3 minutes goes by and manager, servicing another table, comes and asks if anyone has taken our drink order… Answer no. Takes order of a beer and a coke. Goes to bar and is gone for another 3-5 minutes. Comes back with full tray servicing 3 different tables. Served us LAST. I said I thought he forgot us. He says only 1 person on tonight. hmmmm . I counted 2 black uniformed waitresses, 1 besides the one who left us at the door, the boy host, the bartender, 2 blue bloused young ladies who were busing and serving and another young man talking to the host, plus the manager. Seems like more than 1 person.OK he gives us the drinks and asks if waitress has been by yet. NO so takes order for pizza. Tell him what we want (Pizza) and To Go. He says OK and says pizzas are slow tonight. Remember place is NOT crowded. While waiting for pizza ‘waitress’ is serving other tables and never asks if we need more nuts or more drinks. 1 beer later waitress (first time she has been to our table) delivers pizza with bill. I ask if we pay her or take it to ‘cashier’. She says we pay her, so I look at bill for $26.89. I put 30 in envelope and give it to her and she asks me if I want any change back. I said yes. She leaves and about 5 minutes later she comes back serving another table and then brings us the change. WE LEFT — NO TIP. NO GOING BACK and when we got pizza home it was not that good.When my in-laws lived in Mundelein and when I worked at a dog training facility in Mundelein Bills was always our pick for Pizza. Too bad it has gone so bad.
Mmmm….. There taco pizza is very good … no one ever wants it and when i order it its the 1st pizza to go!!! always order a large!!! 😉
Once was enough. This place was hyped by some friends, and my wife and I met them there for dinner.I have had better frozen pizza.Seriously this tastes like low grade store brand frozen pizza.The service is not that great, but if you grade on a curve for being clearly understaffed during our visit they could get a passing grade.Seriously, I left this restaurant wondering why I paid so much for nasty frozen pizza.
