Good food, terrible service. I get if someone is a frequent visitor to a restaurant they might be shown preferencial treatment. But those new to a place should be treated respectfully. My wife and I decided to try Mambo Italiano. Our meal started with a skimpy salad and no croutons. Okay, no big deal, I guess.When the waiter came by to see how our food was, my wife brought up the fact we had no croutons. We’re all out, he said. Okay then. Then an elderly couple was seated next to us. When the same waiter brought them their salad, the waiter bent down and said, extra croutons just like you like it. Problem is we heard this. My wife then said to the waiter, I like croutons in my salad. To which he replied, yeah, me too.I shan’t be going back to this restaurant again. If you do, bring your own croutons.
Have dined here with family and friends on three different occasions and have been very pleased with both quality of food and reasonable price. Last night there were six of us. We shared the calimari, lasagna, scallops, and pizza. All were delicious. We will go again.
My husband and I just left the place and I gotta say, I am not impressed. First off, our server wasn’t as attentive to us as she was to the other patrons that were there. Why is that? Because we aren’t fair skinned? Or is it because our money is not worth anything to her? I’m not really sure. Second, the bruschetta wasn’t as flavorful as we’ve had in several other Italian restaurants. The bread was sliced too thin and it was toasted very hard and was cold when we got it. The rest of the food that we had, I say they were average. I’m disappointed. Although it was probably our fault because my husband and I never learn. We keep on forgetting not to trust just the ratings but to read the reviews as well. We left our server 20% tip. Hopefully she was happy and I wish she feels bad that she gave us mediocre service.

Overall fantastic experience. Food was good but the service was off the charts.
Sal and his people always get it exactly right, with terrific food, waitstaff, wines, atmosphere and a great welcome. Mambo’s is our first choice whenever we go out.
