Terrible food and even worse service. I was greeted like a leper when I sat at the bar at 815pm. The bartender obviously didn’t want to work anymore, which explains how she got my order wrong 3 times and thought it was funny. The manager was just as clueless. No apology. The calamari salad was horrific – who douses a calamari salad in balsamic? The wedding soup was good. Stay away!
Tonight’ dinner at Mambo was very rushed by the wait staff …. My husband and I came back because the food has consistently been very good. And tonight the food was good and we both enjoyed the Osso Bucco. However, we both ordered martini’s and both of came without the garnishes. When we asked for the garnishes, which are listed in the martini menu Mambo provided on the table, the hostess said that you need to ask for them. We both thought that was an odd response and our expressions I am sure showed our feelings. Then she followed up with well it depends on the bar tender. Still not convincing us, she offered to bring us our garnishes. Then my husband’s martini glass was cleared away with 2 of the 3 olives still in the glass that he was intending on eating. After our Osso Bucco was served, we were asked by three different people if we liked our food – too many interruptions. I was getting annoyed. My husband’s coffee came a good five minutes before my cappuccino – I know cappuccino’s take a little longer to make but they should have come at the same time. When we finished and I was trying to get out of the booth,the waiter was blocking my exit and I had to tell him to wait one minute because we were leaving….all and all the food was good but we were made to feel very uncomfortable – turning over tables seemed far more important than a gracious dining experience- too bad because the food is good.
