A standout amongst other spots for tapas in the Chicago region happens to be at this old changed over house in the western rural areas. The nourishment here is exceptional! I generally love the bacon wrapped dates and goat cheddar, yet every time I go I jump at the chance to have a go at something new also. I additionally love the way the eatery is spread out – there are a few little spaces for feasting, prompting a sentiment of closeness with the general population you eat with. In the event that you live in the western ‘burbs, there no motivation to drive the distance to the city for a fine Spanish tapas encounter – it’s essentially in your lawn!
We arrived at this beautiful mansion to a busy house– people have business events here. I was there for lunch with family. Their tapas are simply amazing. (ex. the dates wrapped in bacon). I also highly recommend their Calamari. Their desserts (we had the flan of the day and the hazelnut spongecake) were not only plated differently, but every ingredient was fresh and worked heavenly together. They know what they’re doing when balancing taste in almost every dish. I found their seafood casserole underwhelming though. The service was good, but it seems when it gets busy, they cannot produce food on time– it took 45 minutes for us to get the entrees after appetizers.
One of the best places for tapas in the Chicago area happens to be at this old converted mansion in the western suburbs. The food here is phenomenal! I always love the bacon wrapped dates and goat cheese, but every time I go I like to try something new as well. I also love how the restaurant is laid out – there are several small rooms for dining, leading to a feeling of intimacy with the people you dine with. If you live in the western ‘burbs, there no reason to commute all the way to the city for a fine Spanish tapas experience – it’s practically in your backyard!
Good, fresh food!. I loved all of the food. We had grilled octopus (amazing), squid, cold prawns with avocado and cilantro (yummy), pork, skirt steak with blue cheese, and a few other beef dishes. Everything was great, and we were very full. My only complaint was having to scale those wooden stairs in heels. Honestly, I thought I was going to fall! I purposely did not drink any alcohol because I would have definitely tumbled down. *****
Different!. Want something different? The Tapas thing is catching on. Been here ~5 times; never disappointed!
This place is one of the best. Excellent food and very good service. Feels like you are on vacation every time you eat.
Meson Sabika has awesome tapas and great suggestions by the waitress Lindsay. Service was outstanding and enjoyed the outdoor seating area.
