Looking for a new ice cream spot the wife and I happened upon Amorino. Little Love in Italian possibly? While I’m not sure if I loved it, it was really good ice cream nonetheless. The unique thing about Amorino that may be worth a trip is the presentation of the ice cream. If you order a cone they will shape the scoops as if they are the pedals of a rose. It’s a pretty cool sight to see the servers in action as your order is being made. The only other place I know similar to this is a little spot in Budapest that we were able to check out on our honeymoon. There are quite a few choices from fruity to chocolatey. But the thing is that it takes a while for a cone to be made so you don’t really get a chance to see the flavors before it’s your time to order. We were in an adventurous mood so we told the guy serving us to surprise us and it worked out really well. I think that speaks to how you can’t go wrong with flavor you choose. The highlights were the coffee flavor and there was this one that tasted just like cheesecake filling. I’m not sure exactly what it was called but it was delightful. Just be careful if you’re taking a picture as it melts a lot faster than you think and unless you take preventative measures the opposite side of the cone will be dripping. One more thing, if you order the large, they give you a baby sized ice cream cone on top of your ice cream. I have a picture of my wife holding it, as she thought it was the cutest thing she had ever seen outside of a daschund puppy. Forgive me as I now realize this is a gelato shop and I’ve been calling it ice cream this whole time. euroatheart.com
