I went in on a sunday evening. Place was nearly empty. Ordered Penang chicken curry spicy 8 with brocolli. It took 40 minutes and came out as a bland curry, no spicy and no chicken. Wouldn’t go back.

Great food and an awesome view of Michigan Ave from 6th floor. Service and food were all A++ will return Hidden gem that should be tried

Lunch buffet for $12 isn’t a bad deal. Comes with miso soup. Don’t count on authentic Japanese cuisine as the owner is Chinese. Cooks are not authentic either…There are better Thai places around but not Chinese as none really exist in the area.

As far as Thai goes, this place is just ok, nothing really noteworthy. I didn’t really like my noodle dish, no where near authentic and tasted slightly off.The service was painfully slow though. Ordering a martini during a drink specials night with only a few patrons in the restaurant should not take 15 minutes. Don’t think I’ll return.

While the food was pretty good (lard nar was tasty, but not fantastic), the service was painfully slow. My party was there well after the lunch rush and we were only one of a couple of occupied tables in our area. It took at least 15 minutes before someone took our order (and that’s only because one of our party got up and looked for the server). It took more than 30 minutes for us to get the first of our meals, and the rest of the dishes came piecemeal. There are too many other good thai places in the city that I don’t think it’s worth returning to this place…that is, unless you have A LOT of time to kill.

Tuesday night @ 7p and I was the only person in sight and I wondered why? Pad Thai was fine, full service bar could provide any drink, and the wait staff was delightful. I’m in town for two more nights and will probably return. It’s very convenient to the Drake.

Hidden secret. Baisi Thai is hidden in the 900 N Michigan building on the top floor. If you don’t know it’s there, you probably woud never look. Despite its out-of-the-way location, it is very good — in fact it has become a favorite of ours. They’ve got a nice lunchtime buffet and a good menu for dining-in or takeout.
