Went there after a movie – gorgeous place and awesome staff, but some of the worst food Ive ever had. Husband ordered the surf and turf which was prepared in only ten minutes. He was struggling to find good pieces of the lobster which came out rubbery and slightly undercooked. His filet was flavorless, probably due to the speed in which it was prepared. The risotto (i think it was risotto) also lacked the flavor a 50$ plate should have. I only had a few bites of my lamb burger before taking it to go and giving it to my German Sheppard later. Maybe other people had a better dining experience, but we were really disappointed.

Great atmosphere, terrible food. Really poor black bean burger. Completely fell apart and was mushy. Tenderloin sliders had lots of grizzle and were served on inedible, stale buns. Terrible.

Longing for more…light, food,. Big flavor, small portions alas, the place left us longing for more … more lights, service…and, especially, food. Two house drinks, a tiny (itsy-bitsy) app and two portion-challenged entrees set us back $84.The wife and I walked over from our Streeterville apartment at 6:30pm and were immediately seated by the lovely hostess who greeted us. For starters, the place is dark. Damn dark. Cave-in-the-mountains dark. There are some awesome lighting fixtures hanging from above, but theres very little light in the place, overall. And it gets worse when you try to read the wine list; hands down the worst font, color and text-type selection, ever. Fortunately, the waitress noticed we were struggling and she told us the owner was going to have the wine lists and menu reprinted for the upcoming holiday weekend. Our waitress took our drink orders for the bar, returned with ice waters and offered to take our appetizer orders. After debating over the Pierogi, we opted for the Pork Belly with Fried Oysters ($14) our order came out in mere moments, long before our first round of drinks showed up. Im still convinced we got someone elses service. Sadly, the pork bellies and fried oysters left us longing for more, literally; there were only three tiny pieces of pork belly, topped with three even tinier fried oysters think popcorn kernels on top of caramel chews. Despite their microscopic size and inflated price, the flavor was pretty amazing. The corn meal-dredged oysters were perfectly(!) fried, and the sour kimchi was the balanced counter taste to the melt-in-your-mouth bacon-y goodness of the pork belly. Unfortunately, the tiny little nibbles disappeared in a lone bite, and the wife and I were left to carve the remaining third piece up like a toy tea party biscuit. Our bar drinks a house martini ($10) and Central Coast Merlot ($12)- arrived shortly after we finished our appetizers, so we simply slid in to dinner; at $16, the Gnocchi with Brussel Sprouts, Golden Raisins, Parm and Prosciutto was the highlight of the evening super tender gnocchi with perfectly roasted sprouts. And while it was a smallish portion, it was huge on flavor. Unfortunately, the $19 Pappardelle featured one -ONE- perfectly-seared, medium-sized sea scallop (conveniently sliced for sharing seriously?!) on top of finely-shaved maitake mushrooms in a uber-rich foie gras mousse. Big, big flavor, but itty-bitty on size. Overall, well probably come back and try the Lamb Burger that went by our table, as well as the Scottish Salmon.UPDATE: After our third visit, things have settled down a bit – we had a great blue cheese cheeseburger ($13) during our last visit, but only because they had sold out – AGAIN – of the lamb burgers. Also, the Buffalo Spring Rolls were spot-on fantastic…at $12, it’s a decent portion for a three or four. Still, the place is a buck or two overpriced for what you get table side.
