A fine dining experience!. Dined at Benny’s as part of a corporate outing. Reservation was acknowledged on arrival and we were escorted to the bar to await our table. Within 10 mins of our arrival and after a cocktail we were seated and greeted by the wait staff. Our primary waiter, Paul, was very personable and created an outstanding experience. Appetizers including the bacon, calamari and cerviche were very well done. The bacon, really pork belly, and the cerviche were notable. All members of the group had beef, mainly the filet and the bone-in ribeye. The steaks were properly prepared to the correct temperature and were of prime quality. Side dishes that were sampled included the macaroni and cheese with bacon (excellent), asparagus with hollandaise (excellent), crisp kale (very interesting), creamed corn with truffles (interesting and earthy) and mushrooms (adequate). After the meal we enjoyed several of the desserts including the chocolate pudding cake and a cherry dish that was the special, also excellent. Overall, I would rate Benny’s as an excellent choice for the atmosphere, service and food. Thanks again, Paul!
Wonderful Experience!. I’ve been to Chicago on many occasions and have sampled other steak houses. I had a most enjoyable meal May 1, 2014. My NY Steak was done to perfection, I had the best baked potato in my life, and the service was impeccable. Aleksander was my server and he did not ‘upsell’ any entrees or accompaniments and decreed that I was ‘very happy’ with my meal. If you want a great steak while on downtown Chicago, skip all the rest and go to Benny’s. Also prices for food and drinks were quite reasonable. Beautiful, tasteful decor. Valet parking and cabs are readily available, you are just one block from the Magnificent Mile.

Great Steaks. I saddled up to the bar at Benny’s on a warm Thursday evening in Chicago and felt immediately at home. The wait staff were very friendly and happy for a chat. I enjoyed a superbly cooked steak and a few glasses of a bold well bodied Barossa Shiraz. Hey, nothing beats a great steak with a Barossa Shiraz!
